7th August 2011 Windsurfing: Felixstowe dip Wind Direction: wsw Wind Stength: F3 - F6 Surf / Sea State: moderate Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: ok Max Speed: 28 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 23 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) arrived early due to forecast, regulars there. rigged 6.5 and had a few runs, and yep wind up F6, swop boards, fins, gave in rigged 5.7 had a few runs again but it was just too much, so had to wait for lulls. Neil was on 5.0 and others 4.5 / 5.7 The wind turned iffy after 2.0 and dropped as I was bout to change to a smaller fin..lucky me as it died leaving a few with a swim and Andy with a boat ride...that was me a couple of weeks ago... gybing was shite, but I did have man flu... Conditions were excellent water reasonable, flattish inside biggish on the outer and a few waves to ride. |
